Change Of Plan

In light of  our discovery that it is Children's Cancer Week, this bake sale's profit will be donated to the Cancer Ward in Crumlin Children's Hospital, the place of treatment for our neighbour's nephew Leo. This is a diversion from our plan to give to our four chosen charities which were rather close to home, but this issue is closer. We would like to thank everyone who has bought some cakes here today, and we hope to see more of you here throughout the day! More liveblogging will be coming to you straight from the cake sale! Project is Launching

Tomorrow is the launch of the project, so get ready! The team are baking, the siblings are tasting and hopefully the weather will be in our favour. There will be cakes, biscuits and maybe even slushies for all to enjoy. Homemade stickers are being offered to those who buy cakes. 

Our goal, over a number of fund raisers, is €200. This will be split between four or more causes.  Our four chosen causes/charities are: Irish Cancer Society, the Good Samaritans, Dublin Simon Foundation and the ISPCA.

As you can see, we have chosen charities that are very close to home. If we excede our goal, we will either make larger donations to each charity, or give to more causes such as Syrian refugees.
